Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 13, 2025

Last Updated: July 13, 2025

At Resonant, your privacy is central to everything we build. This Privacy Policy explains how Resonant ("we," "our," or "us") processes and protects information when you use our AI copilot.

Resonant provides real-time, context-aware assistance by seeing what you see and hearing what you hear - helping you work smarter across any app, task, or workflow.

We do not store your screen data or audio. We do not track you across sessions. And we will never sell your data.

1. What We Process

Resonant temporarily accesses and analyzes real-time information from two sources to provide helpful suggestions:

a. Screen Context

We process on-screen content such as text, app interfaces, and browser windows to understand what you're working on. This allows Resonant to provide timely suggestions, shortcuts, or relevant information - whether you're writing an email, filling out a form, or reviewing data.

b. Audio Context

Resonant listens to ambient audio through your device's microphone to identify relevant spoken content (e.g., a question, a task request, or clarification). This enables Resonant to respond in real time with helpful prompts or answers.

Important: Both screen and audio data are processed in-memory only. Nothing is stored or recorded.

2. What We Don't Do

  • We do not store or log your screen content
  • We do not record or save your audio
  • We do not use third-party analytics to track user behavior
  • We do not share your data with advertisers
  • We do not train AI models on your personal data unless explicitly and separately consented

3. Local and Secure Processing

Whenever possible, Resonant processes everything locally on your device. In cases where cloud-based processing is required (such as sending a query to an AI model), we follow strict security protocols:

  • Data in transit is encrypted using industry standards (TLS 1.2 or higher)
  • No session data is stored on our servers
  • All cloud processing is stateless - data is discarded immediately after a response is generated

We regularly review and update our systems to meet or exceed modern security standards.

4. Optional Feedback and Diagnostic Data

You may choose to opt in to sharing anonymized crash logs or usage reports to help us improve Resonant. These reports do not contain any screen content, audio, or personally identifiable information.

You can opt out of diagnostics sharing at any time in the app settings.

5. Your Controls

You are always in control of how Resonant operates:

  • Pause or mute audio and screen processing at any time
  • View and manage privacy settings in your local configuration
  • Request deletion of any optional diagnostic data you've consented to share
  • Disable cloud-based processing (Resonant will then function in local-only mode)

6. Compliance with Privacy Laws

We comply with applicable privacy regulations, including:

  • GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
  • CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)
  • Other regional privacy laws as applicable

If you are located in a region with specific data rights, you may:

  • Request access to any data shared
  • Request corrections or deletion
  • Object to certain processing activities

To make a request, contact us at the email below.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. If changes are material, we will notify you through the app or via email, depending on your preferences. The latest version will always be available on our website.
